San Diego Office Design, a woman-owned business that brings the balance, creativity and psychology of well-conceived design into the workplace, has been named as a finalist for the 2012 Business Excellence Awards. It’s the only San Diego company among the 63 that received a total of 155 finalist nominations in 18 categories, ranging from Best Overall Company to Entrepreneur of the Year.

“As a solo-preneur who works long hours setting up ‘the business of the business,’ I’m very honored to have my company, as well as my own efforts, recognized by a global organization like ActionCOACH,” said Tamara Romeo, Principal of Southcoast Design Group (San Diego Office Design and Southcoast Feng Shui). “Being chosen as a finalist is validation that the niche-market I crafted around the concept of office branding just two years ago has true market value and interest. It’s especially gratifying to be recognized for taking a leap of faith and embracing a personal vision.”

The winners will be announced at the conclusion of the Business Excellence Forum, part of ActionCOACH’s continuing global initiative of bringing abundance to the world through business re-education, in Memphis, Tenn., on January 14. Each awardee will receive an attractive trophy created by the same company that designs the Oscars, and all finalists will be presented with a frame-worthy certificate highlighting their achievements.
